Jacqueline Crowley has been the General Manager for the Department since August of 2012. Ms. Crowley began work in the energy industry in 1987. Her experience includes electric and natural gas utility operations, energy marketing, natural gas supply, rates and state and federal regulatory affairs, strategic planning, renewable energy development and project management. She joined the department in 2006 as the power supply manager and has focused on acquiring reliable and competitively-priced electricity and natural gas for the department's customers. In addition, she's been responsible for Federal and State reporting on energy supply, emissions, and the department's compliance with Federal reliability and energy security standards.
Ms. Crowley is under contract with the town. The General Manager's Contract (PDF) is reviewed annually by the MGED board of commissioners and has been renewed and in effect until August of 2024.
